The National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) comprising of 75 personnel has been reportedly deployed for the rescue operation.
The fire started in the PC block (a non-patient block) near the emergency ward on the 2nd floor.

Areas which are affected by the fire include Emergency Lab, B block of the area, Ward AB1, and Superspeciality OPD Area of the institute.
