Indigo plane bound for Hyderabad makes emergency landing after signs of smoke

An Indigo plane bound for Hyderabad made an emergency landing on Tuesday, according to news agency ANI.
The emergency was declared to expedite the landing as a measure of caution after the pilots noticed signs of smoke in the cockpit during descent.
The plane was flying from Delhi to Hyderabad.

The engineering team carried out the inspection after the emergency landing and reached to a conclusion that the engine functionalities& and parameters were fine. The cause of the problem was recognized as malfunctioning of the exhaust fan of the air conditioning system.
The faulty component will be replaced and the aircraft will be back in operation shortly, the airline said.
