Delhi: 2 e-rickshaw drivers held for trying to steal ATM

Two e-rickshaw drivers were arrested for allegedly trying to steal an ATM in Mohan Garden area of the national capital, police said on Wednesday. The accused have been identified as Jai karan (29), a resident of Uttam Nagar, and Javed Khan (25), a resident of Mohan Garden, they said. On Sunday night, police received a call regarding two men trying to steal an ATM in Mohan Garden. However, the duo escaped upon realising that they had been spotted, a senior police officer said. Police reached the spot and found the damaged ATM machine. During investigation, the CCTV footage was analysed and the miscreants were identified and apprehended from near Vipin Garden, police said
The accused were involved in several cases of theft and burglary, they added.
