IMF, regional financing arrangements agree to co-finance pandemic responses

The heads of the International Monetary Fund, Arab Monetary Fund, European Stability Mechanism and other regional finance arrangements on Tuesday agreed to work together to mitigate the economic and financial impacts of the coronavirus pandemic. In a joint statement issued after a teleconference, the officials said they agree to cooperate to facilitate co-financing operations to address the needs of their members.

"We remain strongly committed to working together closely, in accordance with our individual mandates and policies, to exchange information on the needs of our members, and to coordinate assistance across different regions of the world," they said in the statement.
