3 Thane hospitals sealed for not taking patients amid outbreak

Three hospitals in Mumbra in Thanedistrict were sealed by the civic body after receivingcomplaints that they were not admitting patients amid thenovel coronavirus outbreak

The three facilities were turning away pregnant womenand other non-COVID patients despite availability of beds andthere were also allegations of overcharging, a Thane MunicipalCorporation official said on Friday

Thane city, as on Thursday night, had 2,604 COVID-19cases.
