Odisha's Chief Minister, Mohan Charan Majhi, led the state's celebration of the 10th International Yoga Day on Friday, marking the first grand celebration under the BJP government. The day began with a major gathering at Kalinga Stadium, where Majhi performed yoga and addressed a large crowd, including students, officials, and citizens.

The event was graced by the presence of Sports and Youth Services Minister Suryabanshi Suraj, and Chief Secretary Pradeep Kumar Jena. Additionally, the state government designated deputy chief ministers and ministers to act as chief guests at various events across Odisha, ensuring statewide participation. MPs, MLAs, and senior officials also took part in the celebrations within their respective constituencies.

Highlighting this year's theme 'Yoga for self and society,' Majhi stressed the continuous practice of yoga beyond just this day, advocating for its health benefits. Deputy Chief Ministers K V Singh Deo and Pravati Parida led similar events in Bhubaneswar and Konark, respectively, reinforcing the government's commitment to promoting yoga.
