A 40-year-old doctor was found dead in his car in Kota, police reported on Wednesday.

Sub-Inspector Jakir Hussain of Jawahar Nagar police station identified the deceased as Dr. Rakesh Choudhary, who was in an inebriated state before his demise.

Authorities discovered the car parked with an unconscious man at IL Circle late Tuesday evening.

Choudhary was rushed to MBS Hospital but was declared dead on arrival.

Following a postmortem examination, police handed over the body to his family and commenced an investigation to determine the exact cause of death.

The autopsy indicated critical liver and organ damage due to excessive alcohol consumption, according to Hussain.

Family members said Choudhary, a resident of Indira Vihar and known alcoholic, also suffered from depression and anxiety. He had left home for work Tuesday morning.
