Over 29,000 hospitals, including 12,625 private ones, have joined the Ayushman Bharat Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana as of June 30, according to Union Health Minister J P Nadda, who informed the Lok Sabha on Friday.
All participating hospitals have signed MoUs with their respective State Health Agencies (SHAs). Beneficiaries can address their grievances concerning denial of treatment or other issues through various mediums, including the web-based Centralised Grievance Redressal Management System (CGRMS) and State call centres.
Nadda emphasized that hospital empanelment is a continuous process, marked by a multi-pronged strategy to expand the network. Measures include outreach to hospitals, workshops, and simplified empanelment processes. As a result, there has been a consistent increase in the number of empanelled hospitals under the scheme.
