Lt Governor Urges Swift Resolution of Doctor Postings in Delhi

Lt Governor V K Saxena has urged for immediate action to address the issue of pending postings for 23 doctors selected by the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC), as procedural delays have hindered their placement.
The National Capital Civil Service Authority (NCCSA), led by Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal and responsible for finalizing such appointments, has not convened since Kejriwal's incarceration in March on excise policy charges, according to official sources.
Officials also reported significant vacancies in the health department, including 234 general duty medical officer positions, and state that the recruitment process is in its final stages, expected to be completed by September. Lt Governor Saxena has directed relevant departments to expedite the resolution of these vacancies.
