Swedish furniture giant IKEA has urged China to introduce further economic stimulus measures following a challenging year marked by a dip in sales. The appeal comes days after Beijing launched a significant monetary stimulus package in a bid to counteract property market woes.

IKEA's CEO, Jesper Brodin, noted that the company's sales numbers, which saw a 5% decline in the financial year ending August 31, remain sensitive to the ongoing property crisis and interest rate fluctuations. Despite this, Brodin remains hopeful that China's new stimulus package could buoy consumer confidence.

Ingka Group, IKEA's main operational arm, reported that China accounted for a slightly reduced 3.5% of its global sales. Retail Manager Tolga Oncu expressed eagerness to assess the impact of China's recent initiatives on the home furnishing market.
