Delhi's newly appointed Health and Transport Minister, Pankaj Singh, has affirmed the continuation of the free bus service for women under the BJP-led administration. Singh has directed officials to present a comprehensive report on the functioning of Mohalla Clinics, aiming to enhance these community health services.

Singh, who was sworn in alongside cabinet members of the Rekha Gupta government, holds the portfolios of health, transport, and information technology. He emphasized that public transport would remain free as promised, with intentions to introduce further benefits and improvements in the public transport sector.

As a dental surgeon-turned-politician, Singh intends to tackle operational inefficiencies within Mohalla Clinics and plans inspections to ensure regular functionality. Additionally, he is focusing on advancing pending healthcare projects and implementing the Ayushman Bharat scheme. Discussions are in progress to enhance essential services, including clean water and air quality for Delhi residents.
