Maharashtra witnessed a rise in COVID-19 numbers with 14 additional cases reported on Thursday, pushing the state's tally this year to 2,547, the health department announced.
A single fatality was registered in Nagpur, marking the state's total deaths at 39 since January. The victim was known to have comorbidities, according to officials.
In Mumbai, 998 cases were documented with 551 from June and 10 in July. Statewide, over 31,800 tests have been executed since January with 2,436 recoveries noted.
