An employee of a private healthcare services company was apprehended on Tuesday in connection with the alleged rape of a contractual healthcare worker in a government hospital in West Bengal's Purba Medinipur district, according to police reports.
The National Commission of Women has announced its intention to dispatch a team to the Panskura hospital, the site of the alleged crime on Sunday night while the victim was on duty. NCW member Archana Majumdar confirmed the deployment from Kolkata.
