In a bid to foster societal health and development, Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu has urged district collectors to embrace technology in implementing effective practices. At a district collectors' conference, he applauded the 'Mustabu' personal hygiene initiative in tribal regions and advocated for its statewide adoption in schools.
Amid these discussions, Health Secretary Sourabh Gaur raised concerns about Andhra Pradesh's fertility rate, noting it parallels developed nations facing demographic crises. He outlined a transformative strategy for population management, including incentives for larger families and the creation of Fertility Colleges to address reproductive challenges.
The Chief Minister also addressed pressing public health issues, notably food adulteration and the impact of poultry growth promoters on health. He urged the Animal Husbandry Department to minimize these substances and emphasized the necessity of maintaining healthy and uncontaminated food sources.
