A shocking incident unfolded in Bairia as a nine-year-old girl, identified as Pratiksha, was attacked by her neighbor's dog. The child was taking photos of the German Shepherd when it suddenly turned on her, leaving her with injuries necessitating multiple stitches, according to Dr. Ashish Srivastava, Medical Officer at Sonbarsa's Community Health Centre (CHC).

Dr. Rajesh Saroj, the CHC Superintendent, has raised concerns about the surge in animal attacks, citing that they are tending to an increasing number of such cases, with 10 to 12 patients weekly. The escalation of these incidents has become a point of worry for residents and authorities alike.

Bairia Sub-Divisional Magistrate Alok Pratap Singh has announced a strategic approach involving coordination between the gram panchayat, nagar panchayat, forest department, and animal husbandry department. The aim is to curb the rising number of attacks and ensure the safety of the community's residents.
