Union Minister Dr. Jitendra Singh has called on young medical professionals to engage actively in diabetes research to advance the field. The appeal came as Dr. Singh was honored with the MV Lifetime Achievement Award during the inauguration of MVCON 2026, a national conference organized by the MV Hospital for Diabetes.
Dr. Singh expressed deep gratitude to Tamil Nadu for the recognition and emphasized the importance of the younger generation's involvement in diabetes research and patient care. The conference, attended by over 1,000 healthcare professionals, provided workshops on debridement and advanced wound care techniques.
Dr. Viswanathan Vishnu Vijay from MV Hospital for Diabetes remarked that MVCON 2026 is designed as a multidisciplinary platform to enhance diabetes care outcomes, particularly in preventing complications such as diabetic foot through timely and coordinated intervention.
