In a disturbing turn of events, close to three dozen attendees at a wedding in the Badshahithaul area of Tehri district were hospitalized following a bout of food poisoning.

The victims, primarily women and children from Dharsal and Jugad villages, experienced severe symptoms like vomiting, diarrhea, and abdominal pain after consuming the meal at the banquet hall on Tuesday, according to district officials.

The District Hospital reported that 15 patients were admitted on Wednesday, and an additional 20 sought treatment on Thursday. "All patients are in stable condition and under close observation," stated Dr. Amit Rai, Chief Medical Superintendent. The Food Safety Department has collected samples of flour, pulses, and other items for lab analysis to determine the cause.
