Tragic Demise of Medical Student Sparks Investigation

A 30-year-old medical student, Ankit, reportedly took his own life by hanging himself in his room at a paying guest facility in Gurugram. This was confirmed by local authorities on Thursday.
The tragic discovery was made after the owner of the PG, Kapil Yadav, noticed a foul smell on Wednesday, leading him to alert law enforcement. Officers had to break down the room's door, where they found Ankit's body decomposing, being about four to five days old.
Ankit, from Khampura village in Mahendergarh district, was identified through his Aadhaar card. He had been residing in Shri Krishna PG since January, diligently preparing for the MBBS entrance exam. Preliminary information points to him being reclusive, spending most of his time studying, as corroborated by fellow tenants. Police are reviewing call records and CCTV footage to uncover more details surrounding his death. The exact cause awaits the post-mortem report.
