Puducherry CM Rangasamy Expands Health Insurance Coverage
Chief Minister N Rangasamy of Puducherry extended the CM's Health Insurance Scheme to families above the poverty line, offering coverage up to Rs 3 lakh. Upon taking office for his fifth term, he approved 17 government proposals, including the establishment of Namo Cancer Hospital.

Puducherry's Chief Minister N Rangasamy has broadened the scope of the CM's Health Insurance Scheme to encompass families situated above the poverty line, ensuring they receive insurance coverage worth up to Rs 3 lakh.
After taking his oath for a fifth term, Rangasamy swiftly approved 17 government proposals, with a significant focus on expanding healthcare benefits to more citizens. Previously, the scheme was limited to families below the poverty line.
The chief minister also greenlit a project for establishing Namo Cancer Hospital in Puducherry. Notably, the BJP legislature party leader A Namassivayam and AINRC member Malladi Krishna Rao have been inducted as ministers in Rangasamy’s cabinet, which is likely to see further expansion.
