India Supports New Hospital Construction in Nepal's Manang District

India is funding the construction of a hospital in Nepal's northern Manang district under the High Impact Community Development project, in collaboration with local officials. The project, with a budget of NRs 56 million, aims to enhance healthcare access in the remote Himalayan region.

India and Nepal have embarked on a collaborative effort to construct a hospital in the remote northern district of Manang, Nepal. This project is supported by financial aid from New Delhi.

The foundation stone for this healthcare facility was jointly laid by Rakesh Pandey, deputy chief of the Indian Embassy in Kathmandu, and Dhan Bahadur Gurung, chairman of Nason Rural Municipality. This endeavor is part of the High Impact Community Development project, with India allocating NRs 56 million for the construction. Dhan Bahadur Gurung commended India's ongoing developmental support, highlighting its significance for improving healthcare access in the high-altitude region, located approximately 280 kilometers northwest of Kathmandu.

India remains committed to fostering infrastructure development in Nepal by funding the construction of colleges, schools, hospitals, and community halls under various initiatives, thereby strengthening bilateral ties and serving local communities.
