Botswana has bestowed Zimbabwe with a consignment of medical supplies and nutritional food (Tsabana).
The medical consignment worth P2.1 million was handed by President of Botswana, Mokgweetsi Masisi at the end of the inaugural Bi-National Commission session of Zimbabwe and Botswana in Zimbabwe’s Harare recently. The consignment included surgical supplies, syringes and abdominal swabs among other materials.
While receiving the donation, President of Zimbabwe, Emmerson Mnangagwa opined that he was delighted that Botswana was able to produce fortified food for the under-five and malnourished children. “I humbly accept this donation from Botswana. I express my sincere appreciation to you and to the people of Botswana. This is a humble gesture and a great service for the disadvantaged children of Zimbabwe,” Mnangagwa said, as reported by All Africa.
The donation is a reflection of a fruitful Bi-National Commission and this will save lives of many people living in Zimbabwe, Obadiah Moyo, Zimbabwe’s Minister of Health and Child Care said.
