"There have been countless debates in policy circles on healthcare costs and how India is fighting against fiscal deficits, to assure healthcare access to all. However, the truth is, access to healthcare is poor and the Lancet in its latest study emphasizes this aspect. India ranks 145th among 195 countries in terms of quality and accessibility of healthcare, behind its neighbors China, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, and Bhutan," says Amir Ullah Khan, Economist, and Director of Research, Aequitasin ET HealthWorld.
FORDA (Federation of Resident Doctors Association) and Aayom Welfare Society (NGO) have joined hands to lend a helping hand in making "Quality Healthcare Accessible to All" through its project:
Swasthya Tumhara Lakshya Humara
FORDA and Aayom Welfare Society recognize the need for providing quality healthcare to the poor citizens of India, who cannot even afford "Healthcare" leave alone "Quality Healthcare". Keeping this in mind the two organizations have come together to make "Quality Healthcare Accessibility to All" a reality. The two organizations will be organizing "Free Health Checkup & Education Camps" PAN India, through its initiative "Swasthya Tumhara Lakshya Humara", starting first with RML Hospital in New Delhi and then expanding the initiative to other possible venues/hospitals in Delhi NCR and eventually taking this initiative PAN India.
FORDA is an association of specialists from various medical departments and have agreed to volunteer with Aayom Welfare Society for the initiative "Swasthya Tumhara Lakshya Humara" in which they would help in organizing and conducting "Free Health Checkup & Education Camps" which will be organized frequently to spread awareness and provide free consultation for health and related issues to poor citizens, who cannot afford "Quality Healthcare".
Aayom Welfare Society has been working on various social issues for the betterment of the society since 2006 and would be taking the 'Next Leap' forward in the healthcare sector PAN India in association with FORDA.
Autism being a lesser known disorder among the underprivileged and not so educated strata of our society, the two organizations have decided to kick start this program with spreading awareness on Autism, providing free consultation and treatment for the disorder.
