The Ministry of Health and Family Welfare organized several activities to mark the 5th International Yoga Day (IDY), 2019, here today. Ms Preeti Sudan, Secretary (HFW) led the yoga sessions that were conducted under the guidance of an expert with the active participation of the other senior officers of the Ministry.

This year the Yoga expert demonstrated how Yoga can be practised at a workplace or at the desk to minimize discomfort and reduce stress, making it easier for everybody to focus on work. Underscoring the importance of making Yoga a part of everyone's life, the Secretary (HFW) said that yoga is highly beneficial as it helps to prevent lifestyle-related disorders.
