Organ transplant: Spanish institute partners with Goa govt

The Goa government organised aworkshop on organ transplant on Monday in collaboration withthe Donation and Transplantation Institute, Barcelona, stateHealth Minister Vishwajit Rane said

The three-day workshop will train personnel from theGoa Medical College and Hospital and the Directorate of HealthServices in transplant procurement management, Rane said

"The Donation and Transplantation Institute, Barcelonawill be conducting an intermediary training course on organprocurement, management and preservation techniques. The aimis to strengthen Goa's cadaveric organ transplant programmeand increase voluntary organ transplant and donations," hesaid.
