Medical investigations on for Vaiko, says hospital

Medical investigations were being done for MDMK general secretary Vaiko and he is cheefful, a city hospital where he was admitted two days ago said on Wednesday. Relevant investigations are being done for the top leader of MDMK and he is cheerful, Sri Ramachandra Medical Centre said here in a press release.
"He is cheeful and his vital parameters are normal," the hospital said, adding he was admitted for a health checkup. Hospital sources had on 19 August said that the 75-year-old leader was admitted that day for cardiac evaluation.
The party had commented that Vaiko was fine. Since doctors had advised Vaiko two weeks rest, the MDMK leader cancelled his public programmes and urged party workers to avoid visiting him in person or contacting him through mobile phone.
