Expressing deep concern, Bushra Bibi, wife of Pakistan's former Prime Minister Imran Khan, has claimed that his life is in jeopardy at Adiala Jail. She cited past incidents where Khan was shot at and reportedly poisoned, The Express Tribune reported. In an informal discussion with journalists on Saturday, she disclosed fears for both her husband's and her own safety.

Bushra Bibi noted that their plea for an investigation into the alleged poisoning has not yet received a response from the court. Describing the jail conditions, she claimed Khan was kept in squalid circumstances and fed contaminated food. According to her, Khan appeared malnourished during their meeting at Attock Jail and had to spend the whole night removing insects from his hair.

She condemned the disparity in treatment between political prisoners and convicted criminals, noting that while Khan suffered without basic amenities, other detainees were treated lavishly. When questioned about allegations of adding toilet cleaner to food and other accusations against the authorities, Bushra Bibi affirmed the 'claims were true,' according to The Express Tribune.

As their conversation concluded, Bushra Bibi reiterated their readiness to take an oath, emphasizing that the charges against them were fabricated. (ANI)
