Five people were killed in a shootout between two groups in Karachi's Defence area, ARY News reported. DIG South Asad Raza confirmed that five individuals died and two others were injured during the exchange of gunfire in Defence Nishat Commercial area.
Those killed were identified as Fahad Bugti, Naseebullah, Mir Mehsum Bugti, Mir Essa Bugti, and Ali. The injured are Mir Ali Haider Bugti and Qaim Ali. Eyewitnesses reported additional injuries and noted vehicles belonging to both groups at the scene.
'The incident is currently under investigation,' stated DIG South Asad Raza. Authorities are probing the reasons behind the clash.
Meanwhile, the Baloch Solidarity Committee and Baloch Yakjehti Committee are organizing support for the Baloch National Gathering on July 28 in Gwadar. Campaign activities, including pamphlet distribution and donation drives, are underway across Karachi.
Spokesperson Mahrang Baloch emphasized their opposition to the ongoing Baloch genocide by Pakistan, as preparations for the gathering intensify.
