White House Lauds US-India Ties as Critical Global Partnership

Lauding the US-India ties, the White House on Monday declared that President Joe Biden views the relationship as one of the most consequential globally, adding that both countries work closely on vital priorities. White House Press Secretary Karine Jean Pierre highlighted the collaboration during a press briefing.
'So look, the president views our relationship, the United States' relationship with India, as one of the most consequential in the world. We work closely with India on our most vital priorities, including through the Quad and the US-India initiative on critical and emerging technology,' Jean Pierre said. She emphasized the intent to expand this 'critically important partnership.'
'We look forward to continuing to expand our critically important partnership benefiting the American people. We aim to create a more prosperous and secure Indo-Pacific and the world,' she added. The US maintains a diplomatic partnership with India, Australia, and Japan through QUAD, committed to an open, stable, and prosperous Indo-Pacific.
US Secretary of State Antony Blinken, alongside India's External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar, Japan's Foreign Minister Yoko Kamikawa, and Australia's Penny Wong, participated in the Quad Foreign Ministers' meeting on July 29 in Tokyo. Leaders reaffirmed their commitment to preserving and strengthening the international order for global good.
'We look forward to India hosting the next Quad Leaders' Summit later this year, and to the United States hosting the next Quad Foreign Ministers' meeting in 2025,' read the joint statement from the Tokyo meeting. The Quad nations are collectively advancing a positive agenda to support the Indo-Pacific region's sustainable development and stability.
The statement also stressed that the region's countries and people should have the freedom to cooperate and trade based on partnership, equality, and mutual respect.
