Parvathaneni Harish Appointed as India's Next UN Ambassador

Parvathaneni Harish has been appointed as the next Ambassador and Permanent Representative of India to the United Nations in New York, according to a statement from the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) released on Wednesday. Harish, an officer from the 1990 batch of the Indian Foreign Service, is currently serving as India's Ambassador to Germany.
The MEA stated that Harish is expected to assume his new assignment shortly. He has been the Ambassador of India to Germany since August 24, 2021. Prior to this role, he was the Additional Secretary in the Ministry.
Harish's extensive experience in international affairs and diplomacy is expected to bolster India's representation at the United Nations during his tenure.
