The Prime Minister also plans to visit the monument commemorating the Battle of Monte Cassino, where more than 900 Polish soldiers were killed. Adjacent to this, he will visit the Kolhapur Memorial, set up in memory of the Polish children hosted in Kolhapur by the Jam Saheb of Nawanagar.

Before departing from New Delhi, Prime Minister Modi expressed his desire to strengthen relations between India and Poland, which are celebrating 70 years of diplomatic ties.
