Brazil's Minister of Foreign Affairs, Mauro Vieira, is set to visit India from August 25-28. During his visit, he will co-chair the 9th India-Brazil Joint Commission Meeting with External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar on August 27. Discussions will focus on advancing key G20 outcomes from India's previous presidency, according to a Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) press release. It's noteworthy that Brazil will hold the G20 Presidency until November 2024, with the Troika comprising India, Brazil, and South Africa.

Brazil will host the G20 Leaders' Summit in Rio de Janeiro on November 18-19. The G20 includes 19 countries and two regional organizations, the African Union and the European Union. According to the MEA, this visit will offer an opportunity to further fortify the strategic partnership established in 2006 and to explore new avenues of cooperation across bilateral, regional, and multilateral areas.

In July, Dammu Ravi, Secretary of Economic Relations in the Ministry of External Affairs, led India's delegation at the G20 Development Ministers' Meeting in Rio De Janeiro. He emphasized India's flagship programs like Swachh Bharat Abhiyan, Jal Jeevan Mission, and AMRUT, reiterating India's commitment to Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) related to water and sanitation. The meeting concluded with the adoption of the G20 Ministerial Call to Action, highlighting commitments to strengthen global WASH services.
