In Abu Dhabi, UAE President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan hosted a meeting with Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC) President Felix Tshisekedi on September 6. The dialogue centered on bolstering bilateral cooperation across numerous sectors to drive development and prosperity in both countries.
Taking place at Qasr Al Shati in the UAE capital, the meeting saw Sheikh Mohamed express optimism that the visit would solidify ties for the mutual benefit of their citizens. Discussions spanned opportunities for expanding collaborations in development, economy, trade, investment, and renewable energy.
The leaders exchanged views on regional and global developments, with Sheikh Mohamed affirming the UAE's commitment to reinforcing ties with African nations. Tshisekedi expressed gratitude for the UAE's humanitarian and developmental initiatives in Africa, emphasizing their global crisis response efforts. Also present were notable UAE officials and Tshisekedi's delegation.
