'A warm welcome for a close friend,' Jaiswal posted on X, noting the extensive discussions ahead on various aspects of India-UAE relations.
Sheikh Khaled bin Zayed Al Nahyan, who arrived in New Delhi on September 8 for his first official visit to India, was warmly received by Union Minister Piyush Goyal. The Crown Prince's visit aims to explore future areas of cooperation, including participation in a Business Forum in Mumbai on September 10.
The meeting marks a new milestone in the historic relationship between the two nations. India's Ministry of External Affairs highlighted that the visit is set to further reinforce the strong bilateral ties and open avenues for collaboration in new and emerging sectors.
Earlier this year, PM Modi visited UAE to discuss bilateral relations with UAE President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan. The leaders endorsed efforts to strengthen economic and commercial cooperation, reflecting the UAE-India leadership in regional connectivity, exemplified by the India-Middle East-Europe Economic Corridor (IMEEC).
The visit underscores the historically close and friendly ties between India and the UAE, which have been deepened through the Comprehensive Strategic Partnership covering areas like trade, investment, education, and culture.
