The United Arab Emirates' recent national relief campaign, 'UAE Stands with Lebanon,' has successfully amassed an impressive 250 tonnes of aid at the Expo Centre Sharjah. Remarkably, this effort saw the active participation of 3,000 volunteers hailing from various diverse segments of the UAE society. The aid collection drive, organized under the auspices of the International Humanitarian and Philanthropic Council, included cooperation from key institutions like the Big Heart Foundation and the Sharjah Charity International, and witnessed overwhelming public engagement.

Driven by directives from His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, UAE President, with support from senior officials including Vice President Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the campaign has unfolded over nearly two weeks. The Sharjah event, a focal point for this initiative, drew a significant turnout, including notable participation from dignitaries like Sheikh Salem bin Abdulrahman Al Qasimi and Sheikh Saqr bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, highlighting a leadership deeply invested in alleviating distress.

Sheikh Saqr bin Mohammed Al Qasimi praised the immense spirit of humanitarian work as a defining trait of the UAE, while emphasizing collaboration among organizations. Mariam Al Hammadi of TBHF highlighted the consistent and enthusiastic backing from both public and private sectors, marking a significant testament to the country's commitment to humanitarian causes. Abdullah bin Khadem, representing the Sharjah Charity International, lauded the multifaceted community involvement, reflecting the core humane values of Emirati society. This initiative, launched on 8th October, engaged diverse UAE humanitarian foundations and charities, underlining a strong collective dedication to global aid efforts.
