Abu Dhabi will soon host its second relief aid event for Lebanon as part of the ongoing 'UAE stands with Lebanon' campaign. The event is set for Tuesday, October 22, at Hall No. 1 of the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre (ADNEC), from 3:00 pm to 7:00 pm. This initiative continues under the leadership of Sheikh Hamdan bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Ruler's Representative in the Al Dhafra Region and Chairman of the Emirates Red Crescent.
Launched on October 8, the campaign was initiated by UAE President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan. UAE Vice President Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan and other key leaders, including Sheikh Theyab bin Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, are overseeing the humanitarian efforts. Dr. Hamdan bin Musallam Al Mazrouei, Chairman of the Emirates Red Crescent Board, emphasized the UAE's global humanitarian role in responding swiftly to crises.
Speakers pointed out that the UAE's international charitable efforts are rooted in the legacy of the UAE's founder, the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan. The nationwide campaign aims to rally support across the UAE community from individuals, institutions, and both public and private sector partners, emphasizing the UAE's commitment to providing critical aid to Lebanon and contributing to broader regional stability.
