Netherlands told Turkey deported journalist had Islamist links - presidency

The Netherlands told Turkey that a journalist it deported on Thursday had links to the Islamist Nusra Front, an al Qaeda-linked group, the Turkish presidency's communications director said.

Fahrettin Altun said on Twitter that Turkey would not speculate on the credibility of the intelligence and the took the step to expel Ans Boersma as a precautionary measure.
