The Baloch Women Forum has issued a strong condemnation against the recent escalation in violence, involving state-sponsored terrorism, extrajudicial killings, and enforced disappearances in Balochistan, particularly in the Makran region. The organization has called for urgent international intervention, labeling these acts as components of an ongoing genocide against the Baloch populace, The Balochistan Post reports.

Referencing several incidents, the forum's statement highlighted grievous human rights violations in Balochistan as chronicled by The Balochistan Post. It mentioned that esteemed scholar Sharif Zakir has suffered numerous attacks, with the recent kidnappings of his son and cousin exemplifying the state's blatant disregard for human rights and civilian protection.

The Balochistan Post further detailed additional instances, such as Hayat Sabzal's disappearance by security forces in Turbat on July 3, 2024, whose mutilated remains surfaced in Panjgoor on February 11, 2025. Another case includes Allah Dad, a distinguished young Baloch scholar, who was assassinated in Turbat on February 4, 2025. Following his death, eleven youths from Pasni and Kulanch (Chakkuli) were abducted, adding to an already alarming count of the missing.

The abduction of Asma Bibi from her home, followed by the brutal beating of her relatives, triggered protests and road closures demanding justice. Subsequently, officials released a video statement, yet the perpetrators remain unpunished, as reported by TBP. The Baloch Women Forum vehemently criticizes the systematic targeting of Baloch intellectuals, asserting these acts aspiring to suppress Baloch identity and resistance. The forum urges human rights groups and international bodies to intervene decisively to halt these violations.

The group accentuates the necessity of accountability, victim justice, and curtailing perpetrators' impunity. Despite persistent pleas, international silence remains a grave concern. The Baloch Women Forum reiterates its plea for global action to cease further human rights abuses and ensure justice for the afflicted Baloch community.
