Mangochar Protest: Traffic Halted as Residents Demand Missing Man's Return

Residents of Mangochar, in Balochistan's Kalat district, have brought traffic to a standstill on the Quetta-Karachi National Highway. A sit-in protest demands the release of Abdul Hameed Bangulzai, reportedly detained by Pakistani law enforcement. The demonstration has resulted in long queues of vehicles, as observed in The Balochistan Post (TBP) report.

Abdul Hameed's family and local supporters organized the protest, claiming he was forcibly taken by Frontier Corps (FC) personnel Thursday night. TBP sources from Kalat indicate Hameed, a local bakery owner, has been missing since his arrest by FC troops during a raid at his store.

The protesters urge government forces to produce Abdul Hameed and pledge to maintain the highway blockade until his release. Authorities have yet to comment. The Baloch Women Forum condemns the rise in state-sponsored terrorism and enforced disappearances in Balochistan and seeks international action against these alleged human rights violations.
