The Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) is actively addressing the situation concerning Indian student Neelam Shinde, who is currently hospitalized following an accident in the United States. Sources reveal that US authorities are considering the early issuance of a visa for her family members to facilitate their immediate travel.
On Wednesday, Supriya Sule, a prominent leader from the Nationalist Congress Party (Supriya Sule Party), highlighted the plight of Neelam, a resident of Satara, Maharashtra. Sule called on the External Affairs Minister, S Jaishankar, and the Indian Embassy in the US to assist Neelam's father, Tanaji Shinde, in securing a visa urgently, due to the pressing medical situation.
Supriya Sule further appealed via social media platform X, emphasizing that Tanaji Shinde has lodged an application for an emergency US visa. She urged Dr. S. Jaishankar, the Ministry of External Affairs, and the Indian Embassy in the US, to expedite the process to ensure he can be by his daughter's side during this critical time.
