The Jaffar Express, traveling from Quetta to Peshawar, was halted near Mach amid Balochistan's challenging terrain. Railway officials report that communication with the train remains severed. Security personnel and emergency response teams have been dispatched to the scene to secure the area and evaluate the situation.

The Baloch Liberation Army claimed responsibility for the attack, which occurred between Pehro Kunri and Gadalar, asserting that it was a response to Pakistani military operations. The group warns that unless military air operations stop, they will execute more than 100 hostages. The incident has prompted the Balochistan government to heighten emergency and medical response efforts across regional hospitals.
