Nepal Commends India's 'Operation Sindoor' as Stance on Terrorism Reiterated

Nepal's opposition Maoist Center's Deputy Secretary General, Janardan Sharma, endorsed India's 'Operation Sindoor,' praising its anti-terror efforts in Pakistan. In a Facebook post, Sharma, a former Foreign and Finance Minister, emphasized that global cooperation is essential in effectively combating terrorism.

During a session of the House of Representatives, Nepali lawmakers expressed solidarity with countries confronting terrorism and urged the government to adopt a definitive policy stance post-Operation Sindoor. Ramhari Khatiwada, a Nepali Congress lawmaker, highlighted the geopolitical complexities Nepal faces and called for governmental readiness amidst ongoing global conflicts.

Mukta Kumari Yadav, another lawmaker, reiterated the importance of a clear national position against terrorism. The operation was prompted by a heinous attack in Pahalgam that took 26 lives, including a Nepali citizen. India's precision strikes on terrorist camps in Pakistan emphasized restraint and precision, targeting solely non-military sites.
