Sudan intelligence chief orders release of detained protestors

Sudan's intelligence and security chief has ordered the release of all those detained during recent protests, the information ministry said on Tuesday. The announcement came after activists said on social media that Salah Abdallah Mohamed Saleh, the head of Sudan's National Intelligence and Security Service (NISS), visited a prison in Khartoum and said that arrested protesters would be freed.
