The Baloch human rights group, Paank, has expressed serious concerns about the health and detention of paralyzed activist Bebarg Baloch. Captured by security forces, Bebarg's condition has worsened due to lack of medical care.
Originally injured in a 2010 grenade attack, Bebarg was arrested alongside his brother in March 2025 without a warrant. Paank argues this constitutes an enforced disappearance, calling his detention unlawful.
Invoking national and international laws, Paank urges Pakistan to release Bebarg, ensure his medical care, and conduct a transparent investigation. Worldwide human rights groups are called upon to intervene for the protection of detainees' rights.
