Secretary (East) P. Kumaran, under the Government of India's ongoing Swachhata Campaign 5.0, conducted a thorough inspection of the Jawaharlal Nehru Bhawan premises. The visit aimed to evaluate cleanliness efforts and record-keeping practices, ensuring workplace hygiene and operational efficiency. MEA Spokesperson Randhir Jaiswal took to social media to share insights from the visit, underscoring the Ministry's dedication to fostering Swachhata and effective governance. The Swachhata Campaign 5.0, as detailed by an MEA statement, encompasses a Preparatory Phase from September 15 to September 30, followed by an Implementation Phase from October 2 to October 31.
The initiative calls on all MEA offices, including international missions and regional passport centers, to set specific targets for the preparatory phase. This includes revising official records, resolving longstanding public complaints, responding to MP and state government queries, and fulfilling parliamentary commitments. A significant aspect is the focus on e-waste disposal, coupled with promoting Swachhata awareness worldwide.
