Eight individuals have been arrested in connection to the tragic fire that engulfed the Wang Fuk Court residential complex in Tai Po district, Hong Kong. The Independent Commission Against Corruption is probing potential corruption tied to the building's repairs, as reported by Global Times.
The fire has resulted in the loss of at least 128 lives and left 200 people missing. Hong Kong authorities, according to CNN, have brought the 42-hour blaze under control. Yet, fears remain that the death toll could rise further.
