The Quad convened its 4th Annual Humanitarian Assistance and Disaster Response (HADR) Strategic Meeting and Tabletop Exercise in Honolulu, Hawaii, underscoring its steadfast dedication to the Indo-Pacific region's stability and security. Hosted by the United States from December 2 to December 5, the gathering united senior officials from India, Australia, Japan, and the US, aiming to refine disaster-response coordination.

The meeting highlighted the Quad's ongoing commitment to strengthening disaster-response capabilities across the Indo-Pacific, showcasing their resolve to provide vital support to the area. A foundational element of the Quad's cooperation framework, the event focused on streamlining mechanisms to ensure prompt humanitarian aid delivery during natural calamities. HADR is central to fostering peace, security, and resilience in the region.

Previously demonstrated by their response to Myanmar's earthquake, the Quad's effective resource mobilization was acknowledged. Originating from the 2004 ad hoc Tsunami Core Group, the partnership advances Quad cooperation. The Quad partners coordinate operations following UN principles and work alongside various agencies and organizations to deliver humanitarian aid effectively.
