Prime Minister Narendra Modi, set to become India's longest-serving continuous elected leader, has received heartfelt congratulations from international leaders. They have acknowledged his vital role in transforming governance, with a specific focus on the Global South and promoting an inclusive Indian economy that is dynamically evolving.

Anura Kumara Dissanayaka, President of Sri Lanka, in a communiqué dated June 8, extended the nation’s congratulations, noting the milestone as a reflection of Modi's enduring public trust. Modi’s tenure has notably influenced countries beyond India's borders, with the Prime Minister having visited Sri Lanka several times, reiterating India’s Neighbourhood First policy.

Reflecting on Modi's leadership, James Marape, Papua New Guinea's Prime Minister, called Modi a “role model.” Meanwhile, Kamla Persad-Bissessar of Trinidad and Tobago praised Modi’s ascent from humble beginnings to leading a 1.4 billion-strong nation. His historic visits to both nations have reinforced bilateral relations and underlined India's global foreign policy stance.
