India Advocates Peace as Gulf Conflict Intensifies

In light of escalating tensions in the Gulf, Rajya Sabha MP Harsh Vardhan Shringla stressed India's commitment to resolving the conflict. In a conversation with ANI, Shringla characterized the recent attacks on Indians as tragic, acknowledging India's efforts in alerting American authorities.
"It's a tragic occurrence leading to the loss of three Indian lives in the Strait of Hormuz," Shringla noted, adding that India has appropriately engaged US officials through a formal demarche. He highlighted concerns regarding the nine million-strong Indian diaspora in the Gulf, embroiled in the conflict.
Emphasizing the need for peaceful resolutions, Shringla asserted, "Any development reducing or ending conflict and facilitating secure passage for tankers is welcomed." He stressed the importance of dialogue, with Prime Minister Modi advocating peace and engaging with global leaders, including President Trump.
