No US-Canada trade talks ongoing, USTR's Greer tells CBC

U.S. ​Trade ‌Representative Jamieson Greer ​said the Trump administration ‌does not have an open channel of communication to ‌the Canadian government for now, ‌after trade talks between the two countries broke ⁠down ​last week.

In ⁠an interview on CBC, ⁠Greer said he has ​a good relationship with Canadian ⁠Minister Dominic LeBlanc, who ⁠is leading ​U.S. trade relations, but "right now I ⁠think the Canadian side is talking ⁠about ⁠their next steps."
