US energy chief to oversee oil deal in Venezuela on Wednesday, official says

U.S. Energy Secretary Chris Wright will travel to ⁠Venezuela ​to ⁠oversee an expansion agreement to be signed ⁠on Wednesday by U.S. oil ​major Chevron and government officials, a ⁠U.S. official said on Tuesday.

The next ⁠phase ​of talks regarding transition in Venezuela will resume ⁠in mid-September, the official added.
